Thanks to an invitation from the Japanese Society for Thrombosis and Haemostasis, I could come to Osaka and present my work. Of course, Elisa came with me and we spent some great time in Japan.
On the 4th of october we had our long anticipated flight to Wilson's Prom. Ziad, and his friends Vincent and Sebastian joined the flight with destination: Bairnsdale. The flight was sceduled a week earlier but I had to abort due to a faulty altimeter; Pre-flight safety checks DO pay off !
With a beautiful blue sky in Melbourne, we got to Bairnsdale with fog on the ground and obviously had to abort the approach. We diverted to Leongatha for a lunch and toilet-stop.
It was a fantastic 3.5 hours flying with lots of challenges for a pilot-in-command....I LOVE IT!!!
We had a great time camping at Nagambie lakes. With the tent at the water's edge, the view couldn't be better. Wish the fish would have bitten though. The tent has been cristened and already has a hole in it. Kia tried to chase a possum but she was inside the tent and the possum was outside with a flyscreen separating them.....
